  • Santa's Letters

    Family Comedy

Ten-year-old Edward Krieger doesn't want Santa Claus to stop by this year. Why not? Because there's too much yelling at his house.

Claus himself writes back: "Ed, you threw Santa Claus for a loop. The last time somebody told me not to come, the guy's name was Scrooge. I had to send out three of my best people to work him over."

Thus begins an innocent correspondence. But Mr. Claus is a busy man, and Edward is busy himself, growing up, beginning to notice a certain Miss Shannon Lunt... and helping his family through a rough time.

Through his letters, Santa inspires Eddie to bring Christmas to his family and friends all year long... even when that means doing something yucky like telling his big sister that he loves her. Of course, Santa picks up a few pointers along the way from his young protege as well.

But as Eddie's family continues to struggle with loss and new hopes, Eddie asks one more Christmas wish of The Fellow In The Red Suit.

This time Eddie needs a real miracle.

  • Sweet Nothings

    Romantic Comedy

A wedding is the setting for four intertwining tales of the bizarre ways of love: how it begins, how it grows, how it grows serious... and how it can come to an end.

Sexy barfly Kim captures the heart of uptight Hollis even as he composes a love letter to another girl. Turning men into puppy-dogs comes naturally to Kim... but in this case her own feelings are getting a bit out of control.

Arrow-stiff Jane Marwood is surprised when her blind date Reggie pulls out an egg timer and sets it for five minutes. Five minutes later, she's appalled when he invites her to bed, pointing out that women supposedly know within five minutes of meeting a man how far they'll "go". Chaos ensues.

A friendly cooking competition between lovers and rival caterers Sarah and Rudy goes haywire when she shows him up in the kitchen. Naturally this leads to recriminations, accusations of infidelity, and more verbal foreplay.

Tonight yuppie Barth is making the boardroom presentation of his life: a proposal of marriage to the equally industrious Claudia. Everything is perfect -- including the ring for which his assistants shopped everywhere. But she wants flowers and violins, not charts and graphs.

  • CODEC

    Hi-Tech Action Thriller

In the year 2017, the new science of bioelectronics revolutionizes medicine. Injured human limbs are repaired and even regenerated by electronically-induced rapid cell growth. Life expectancy is doubled.

Earth's population explodes. In 2032, starving masses threaten every major government, demanding a new world order. Nations form the United Planet Earth, whose mandate is to eliminate poverty. The Virtual Council, UPE's governing body, cuts the population through a marriage of bioelectronics and data compression. Almost overnight, the number of inhabitants on Earth is safely reduced by one-third.

Compressed humans require little nourishment and can be stored indefinitely. They are, however, still alive... and absolutely defenseless.

In compression technology, the algorithm used to decompress a file must be the exact one used to compress it. If someone were to alter that "CODEC" (for "Compression-Decompression") even slightly, the body would be reassembled in a scrambled state -- with horrifying results.

Pray it never happens to you.

  • Real Power

by Emmett Loverde and Larry Maraviglia
    Psychological Drama

Twenty-two-year-old Louise Raymie's suicide had five witnesses...five friends whose own lives would follow spectacularly different, yet extremely successful, paths.

Twenty years later, three of the five are foremost in their respective fields. Christopher Worth is a U.S. Senator from California. Richard Reagle is a top executive at Mode Entertainment, the largest and most powerful media conglomerate in the world. And Vivian Jade is a trend-setting magazine mogul with a golden touch.

The other two, Harold Slaughter, Louise's ex-boyfriend, and Molly Strough, who has become Molly Worth (and came very close to becoming Molly Reagle), turn into pawns and eventually victims in the struggle that ensues between Chris, Rich, and Vivian.

A struggle born of a dark hunger...a consuming desire...a need to fill the vast cavern of the soul with the trappings of wealth...and power. Real power.

Real power. They want it. They need it. They use it.

And God help those who stand in their way.

  • Desire Sleeps

    Romantic Drama

Kevin Halloran poises at the edge of a cliff in a furious, driving rain. He pulls from his pocket a photograph of a beautiful young girl, Julie Cahlara...then dashes toward death...

Fifteen years earlier, Kevin's dream came true when Julie became his close friend. But he wanted more.

Fifteen years later tragedy brings Kevin back to his home town. He is now deeply in love with another wonderful woman, ready to settle down with a teaching career -- and eager to embrace what promises to be a secure life.

    But how secure?

Julie herself is still in town, married, with a teenage daughter... yet she and Kevin are as drawn to each other as they ever were.

Julie's daughter Jennifer has desires of her own -- and she's determined to fulfill them. And her resemblance to her mother gives her a seductive power over Kevin himself...

"Desire never dies," English instructor Kevin tells his high school class, "it sleeps." True.

    What happens when it stirs?

  • Star Trek -- The Most Important Voyage

    Comedy

For months, I've forced my research staff to slave long into the night trying to uncover that long-lost, never-filmed script from the original Star Trek TV series (you know -- the version where Kirk got women and Spock was cool, not Deepak Chopra). The episode is called "Romulan or Reason".

Finally, several hours ago, one of my breathless assistants rushed into my penthouse office (she climbed seven flights of stairs, poor thing -- and in the cold night air) with the script of that episode, which I proudly reprint here for the first time in its entirety as a humble offering to uplift the race and for the good of personkind.

Remember -- no one has seen these words since they were first written (perhaps for good reason -- you be the judge).
